HOWs
&
WHATs
1.
HOW MANY HOURS/TIME DO YOU PRACTICE?
More or less an hour a day but with intervals.
I mostly practice when I'm on a break during my work.
2.
HOW MANY TAKES ARE YOU HAVING?
A lot! As in a lot! As much as possible I don't want any mistakes or some buzzing or squeaking sound in my recording especially background noises and I'm still relatively new to this fingerstyle playing so whenever I have those mistakes I'm going to repeat it a lot of times until I'm satisfied.
3.
HOW DO YOU ARRANGE A COVER SONG?
First you need to know the chords. Just look on the net so it would be easier for you. If you have a good ear then you can find it yourself then just find the notes in the chords. It would just be around there somewhere. If the note is high then just go to the higher octave chords.
(I'll do an in depth tutorial on this next time so stay tuned)
4.
HOW DO YOU MAKE TABS?
It's not really that hard if you can read tabs then you can make one. Guitar Pro is an amazing software when it comes to making tabs because when you put your notes you can play it,
Basically the standard rule is when you're looking at the tab, the top string is the lead string and the bottom one is the bass string then the numbers you see are the frets.
(I'll do an in depth tutorial on this next time so stay tuned)
5.
HOW DO YOU SYNC YOUR AUDIO & VIDEO?
Basically I just clap my hand first before playing so that the clapping sound will have a high peak at the beginning of the audio and that will be my guide for syncing.
(I'll do an in depth tutorial on this next time so stay tuned)
6.
HOW DO YOU EDIT YOUR VIDEO?
I mostly shoot around 3-5 angles and if you'd notice the transition of the video is mostly on each stanza of the song.
When it comes to editing I'm using mainly Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects for some visual effects.
(I'll do an in depth tutorial on this next time so stay tuned)
1.
WHAT STRINGS ARE YOU USING?
Of course Elixir Phosphor Bronze and Addario EXP Coated Phosphor Bronze is my choice.
However, I'm still experimenting with a cheaper one that will sound great for me in a lower price range,
because they can still be pretty expensive if I'd string all my guitars with Elixirs or EXPs even if it does last longer than other cheaper alternatives.
As of now my choice would be Addario EJ16 Phosphor Bronze or GHS Bright Bronze. (half the price of Elixir & EXP.)
2.
WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES IN RECORDING?
1. Mistakes! Mistakes! Mistakes and to add to that the buzzing,
the squeaking and the noisy background would make you repeat your recording. If you're like me then those things would be an irritation and frustration to you.
If your living in a hot environment it's hard not to use your fan or AC. Fan is gonna make a lot of noise and some AC would too.
I don't have an AC so I need to bear the heat.
(I'll do an in depth tutorial on this next time so stay tuned)
3.
WHAT GUITAR IS BEST FOR YOU
AMONG THE ONES YOU HAVE?
I'd say the Taylor Academy because it has a fuller sound and more balanced, If you wanna know more about it.

CAD GXL1200 & 2200.
You'll find it here: http://bit.ly/dremusicgears
5.
WHAT DO YOU DO IF YOU FEEL FRUSTRATED?
Just take a break! Play a different song. Don't force yourself if you're feeling frustrated. Learning should be fun, I always put that in my mind!
